Karen Jo Batterton
July 13th, 1940 – April 22nd, 2025
Karen J. Batterton, 84, of London Mills, passed away at 1:25 am on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at OSF St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg, IL. She was born on Saturday, July 13, 1940 in Avon, IL, the daughter of Keith and Lillian (Hoyt) Sullivan. She married Larry Batterton. He survives.
She is also survived her by her daughter; Tami (and Mike) Stipp of Abingdon, IL, son; Tim Wagner of Springfield, IL, two step-sons; Brad (and Tina) Batterton and Bill (and Tammy) Batterton, both of Astoria, step-daughter; Debbie (and Don) Ulm of Macomb, IL, and twenty-nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, two brothers and one sister.
Karen enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening and spending time with her family.
Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Don Ulm will be officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials in Karen’s name may be made to the London Mills Ambulance Service.
