Darrel G. Buswell
April 12th, 1954 – August 12th, 2025
Darrel G. Buswell, 71, of Ipava, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1954 in Canton, IL, the son of Kenneth E. and Esta “Claribel” (Klinedinst) Buswell. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother; Donald (and Niccole) Buswell of Ipava, IL, six nephews; Nicholas Hagen, Devin (and Becky) Buswell, Chase (and Lily) Hagen, Jacob (and Alisa) Buswell, Elijah (and Emily) Buswell, and Josiah (and Niccole) Buswell, and nine great-nieces and nephews.
Darrel was a life-long carpenter. Darrel, along with his brother Donald, started Buswell Builder's Construction thirty-seven years ago. After Donald's retirement, Phillip Buswell became Darrel's partner in the business.
Darrel was a history buff. He loved having annual firework displays, watching sports events involving his family, and playing softball, golf and volleyball.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Berean Christian Church in Ipava, Illinois. Pastor Kevin Kessler will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Ipava Fire Department or the Ipava Ballpark.

My condolences to Donnie and the Buswell family. If you wanted to know where a classmate is, he knew. I remember watching him play football and base ball in High school. I am honored to have had him as a friend.

Darrell and his crew helped build my cabin.a very talented and creative and awnry friend. I will think of him each time we go into our cabin. Darrel was a great person. I had the good fortune to golf with him the last few years and he was always positive, no matter how he played. I will miss him. John Kline
