Harold A. Stoneking

March 16th, 1940 – August 25th, 2025

Harold A. Stoneking, 85, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4:56 pm on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Arcadia Care in Havana, IL. He was born on Saturday, March 16, 1940 in Macomb, IL, the son of Walter and Inez (Marion) Stoneking.

He is survived by three children, Wes (and April) Stoneking of Astoria, Troy (and Sally) Stoneking of Clarksville, TN, and Michelle (and Ronnie) Danner of Astoria, six grandchildren; Wesley Drake Stoneking, Daryssa Deann Stoneking, Alexander (and Ginny McCleskey) Stoneking, Adam (and Taihla) Stoneking, Colton Danner, and Cami (and Danny) Lenning, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one sister; Wilma Pavin of Zion, IL.

Harold is preceded in death by one daughter; Deanna Linn Stoneking, four brothers; Richard Stoneking, Frankie Stoneking, Kenneth Lacey, and George Stoneking, one sister Margaret Russell, and his beloved dog and best friend, Carlie Lynn.

Harold farmed for fifteen years. He was also a janitor and bus driver for V.I.T. School District. He last worked at Norforge & Machining in Bushnell, IL.

He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Harold was a great cook and loved to bake and cook. He was always willing to help someone in need.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
