David A. Brockley
April 9th, 1936 – August 26th, 2025
David A. Brockley, 89, of Vermont, IL, passed away at 6:10 pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL. He was born on April 9, 1936 in the Oakland Township, Schuyler County, IL, the son of Leonard and Nola (Aten) Brockley. David married Norma Morrell on January 11, 1963 in Vermont, IL. Norma preceded David in death on December 23, 2021.
Also preceding David in death is his grandson; Shawn Mayall, sister; Doris Kost, Virginia McCormick, and twin sister, Donna Farr.
Surviving are his three children; Rhonda (and Terry) Wrestler of Macomb, Ronnie Brockley of Table Grove, IL, and Rodney Brockley of Rushville, IL, and 6 grandchildren.
He was a lifelong farmer.
David graduated from V.I.T. High School in 1954. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a Mechanic. He was a member of the Vermont American Legion.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Vermont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Vermont Fire and Rescue Squad or V.I.T. High School Educations Scholarship.
