Faye Estalene Bennett

November 12th, 1929 – November 4th, 2025

Faye Estalene Bennett, 95, of Vermont, IL, passed away at 12 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Rushville Nursing and Rehab Center in Rushville, IL. She was born on November 12, 1929 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Perry and Louise (Hyde) Hardman. Estalene married Lloyd Bennett on November 16, 1946 in Memphis, MO. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2009.

She is also preceded in death by two sons; Ivan (along with his wife Kay)Bennett and an infant, and her sister; Carol Hardman.

She is survived by her son; Ernest (and Alice) Bennett of Vermont, grandson; Chad Bennett of Flanagan, IL, two great-grandsons; Drew and Noah, and two great-great-grandchildren; Finnegan and Lydia.

She first worked at Bottenberg Slaughter House in Table Grove, IL. She went on to work at Western Illinois University in Custodial Services for fifteen years.

She was a member of the Vermont Christian Church, Vermont American Legion Auxiliary and Home Extension Alliance. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics.

Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in the Vermont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Vermont Christian Church.
