Earnest H. "Ernie" Saville

February 5th, 1951 – February 13th, 2026

Earnest H. “Ernie” Saville, 75, of Table Grove, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Maywood, Illinois. He was born on February 5, 1951, in Canton, Illinois, the son of William and Violet Saville. He is preceded in death by both his parents, one nephew, Jeremy Saville, and brother-in-law; Steve Heller.

He is survived by his brother; Bill (and Bonnie) Saville, two sisters, Violet Heller and Diana (and David) Punke Wadley; all of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, and the entire Hollenback family.

Ernie farmed cattle with his family and also worked at Hollenback Construction. Later in life, he was often found on his side-by-side, checking on friends and making his rounds.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 28 in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove, Illinois. Mike Ulmer will be officiating. Following the graveside service, a Celebration of Life and meal will be held at 2:00 pm at the Vermont American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Table Grove Fire Department.
