Russell Howard Taylor

October 12th, 1955 – April 28th, 2026

Russell H. Taylor, age 70 of Bardolph, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Countryside Care Center in Macomb, IL, with loved ones by his side. He was born on October 12, 1955 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Nial and Pauline (Miller) Taylor.

He is survived by his two brothers; John Taylor of Abingdon, Illinois and Marvin Taylor of Macomb, four sisters; Connie Starbuck, Edna Taylor, Peggy (Willie) Jones, all of Macomb, and Ruby (Keith) John of Oquawka, Illinois, special nieces and nephews and his special longtime friend, Angie Dodds of Macomb.

Russell was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, two infant sisters and his sister-in-law Sue Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his best “fur friend” Frankie (Dude) Taylor whom had his own Facebook page.

He graduated High School in Bardolph, Illinois. Russell attended church at Industry Assembly of God in Industry, Illinois. He ran a corn cob business in Abingdon and a hog confinement for Don Brown for several years. Russell drove a truck over the road for 40 years working for different companies. He built a lake house from the ground up with help from friends and family.

He enjoyed taking his pontoon boat out and fishing. Russell was known for being an all around handyman. He will be greatly missed by all those who held him dear.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Shawgo Memorial Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

RIP my friend, you have been my friend for over 40 yrs, we have seen and been though some tough places together. You always help me make a right when I wanted to go left. You were one of a kind and I am so broken over losing you. I know you are in a way better place now than what you have been for several years, it doesn't make it easier.ill never forget our last talk. ❤️ Love you forever friend.
