Brad W. Hunter

January 25th, 1967 – May 3rd, 2026

Brad W. Hunter, 59, of Vermont, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born on January 25, 1967 in Macomb, IL, the son of Kenneth Hunter and Phyllis Parry.

He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents; Henry and Stella Hunter and Willis and Doris Parry, step-father; Michael Bernius and brother; Jeffrey Hunter.

He is survived by his children; Wade Hunter, Cassey Hilliard, Christopher Hilliard, Dustin Hilliard and Harley Hilliard, grandchildren; Bryce Hunter, Brayden Hunter, Jayden Hilliard, Kingsley Anderson, Autumn Hatley, Jason Hatley, Corwin Hatley and Valeria Hilliard, mother; Phyllis Bernius, siblings; Scott Parry, Troy (and Tonya) Hunter, Misty (and Robert) Varesko, Nikki (and Dave Stomberg) Bernius, Angela Owens, Rhonda (and Anthony) Baker, Rikki Bernius and Danni Bernius.

Brad enjoyed farming and was a farmhand for Joe and Denny Fross.

He enjoyed playing poker, playing pool, hunting, mushroom hunting and fishing.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 4 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Vermont American Legion in Vermont. Memorials may be made to the Brad Hunter Memorial Fund.

I'm so very sorry. Enjoyed talking and watching him play pool. We have played pool since 1995. He was on my husband George Collins league of pool. R.I.P. Brad.
