Lola Mae Taylor
May 17th, 1933 – August 19th, 2015
Lola Mae Taylor, age 82 of Glasford, IL, passed away at 1:00 am on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on May 17, 1933 in Astoria, IL, the daughter of Toler and Vera (Shawgo) Brehm.
Lola worked at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba, IL in the Social Services Department. She was a member of the Lewistown, Illinois VFW Post #5001 Auxiliary and a former member of the Canton Eagles Club.
She enjoyed watching her grandchildren's activities and programs. Lola also enjoyed visiting the Par-a-Dice boat in East Peoria, playing cards on her computer, watching game shows and her "stories" on t.v., and watching NASCAR, especially Joey Logano.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean (and Ken, Jr.) Neuman of Glasford, IL, her son James (and Renee) Taylor of Lewistown, IL, 8 grandchildren; Amanda Neuman, Christopher (and Cathy) Neuman, David (and Megan) Smith, Megan (and Chris) Bennett, Corby (and Brittany) Taylor, Stacey Monn Ray, Emily (and Jim) Preckwinkle, and Julie Johnson, 5 great-grandchildren; Johannah Ziegler, Abigail Hadsall, Cade Andrew Neuman, Landon Bennett, and Baya Bennett, her brother Larry (and Sara) Brehm of Poloma, IL, and her sister Sondra Boling of Canton, IL.
Lola Mae was preceded in death by 1 grandson Link Hadsall and 1 brother Bernard Brehm.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Kevin Stoneking will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clayberg Nursing Home.
